Sea buckthorn (also written seabuckthorn) does not win every nutrient category, and it should not. No single berry does. What sea buckthorn does is show up near the top of the table again and again, across compound classes that rarely overlap in the same fruit. This piece runs the comparison one nutrient at a time, names the actual winner for each, and is honest when that winner is not us.

Which berry wins on vitamin C and anthocyanins?

Vitamin C goes to camu camu and acerola cherry. Why does no single berry win everything?

Because the compound classes are not related. Anthocyanins, carotenoids, vitamin C, and omega fatty acids are produced by different plant pathways, and a berry's color, climate, and evolutionary pressures shape which pathway it invests in.
